Start with 1 cup of diced onion and four cloves of minced garlic. Preheat your pan and sauté your onion and garlic for 3 minutes. Then add Red pepper flakes, pepper, salt (to taste), oregano, and tomato paste, and sauté for another 5th minutes.
Then add 2 cups of Orzo with the vegan butter and sauté in the pan for 3 minutes so the pasta can absorb the seasonings. Add 14 1⁄2 ounces of crushed tomatoes to the pan, stir, and sauté for 3 minutes. Add 2 1⁄2 cups of vegetable broth, cover, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
Cook Cruz Chop
In a skillet or flat-top grill, sauté 1⁄2 cup of onions; add the same amount of seasonings to the pan. Make sure you chop your Cruz Chop well.
Once the Orzo is ready, place the sum of your pasta in a bowl, top it off with your Cruz Chop and onion mixture, and drizzle olive oil.
